Andrew Newell is an artist and educator who makes hilariously somber and exceptionally detailed dystopic sculptures. Andrew graduated in 2017, from the Pacific Northwest College of Art with a BFA in Sculpture. He is currently a MFA candidate in Applied Craft and Design program at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. In 2017, Andrew received an Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award from the International Sculpture Center, and had his work published in Sculpture Magazine. In the studio Andrew is currently experimenting with combining digital fabrication and ceramics. Andrew lives in Portland, Oregon with his wonderful wife Ella and their fantastic daughter Ruby Rocket.
