Andrew Newell graduated in 2017, from the Pacific Northwest College of Art with a BFA in Sculpture. Andrew, born in 1982, is a veteran of the Iraq War. He employs a variety of techniques in his work including; assemblage, mold making, casting, ceramics, and model making. His work primarily uses the genre of science fiction to examine human advancement and contemporary social issues. Newell has found inspiration in the artists H.R. Giger, Kris Kuksi, and Hieronymus Bosch. Newell lives in Portland, Oregon with his wonderful wife Ella and their fantastic daughter Ruby Rocket.
