One of the experiments I've been conducting for my thesis is infinity boxes. Did a bit of cutting today on my 50's Shopsmith 10-ER. This machine is a table saw, drill press, lathe, disk and spindle sander, horizontal boring machine and just about anything else you can imagine. Notice the exposed blade on the underside of the table. The pinnacle of post-war engineering, with its safety third design this machine gives the finger to the Nanny State. hopefully not your finger. I'm going to spend father's day reflecting on just how incredibly fortunate I am to have such wonderful, kind, and curious little girl. Yesterday Ruby Rocket was thrilled to spend the whole day helping her papa restore this old Japanese Pachinko machine. She is such a good shop helper and repairing something like this was a fun educational opportunity for her and I. My daughter's favorite dinosaur is a futabasaurus. Yes it's a real dinosaur, I looked it up. She was also correct when she informed me that it was a kind of pleaseeasaur. Next step was to ask Dad to make her one on the 3D printer. So I sculpted this in VR using Oculus Medium and printed it out in PLA plastic for her to paint. I think that I'm ridiculously attached to this little thing! I sculpted it in VR using Oculus Medium then 3D printed it.
